Environmental education
A society that has grown numb to stories of dying rivers and lakes while its everyday habits make pollution worse.
A society that refuses to let its rivers and lakes die. Accessible and fun environmental education reaches people of all ages in every corner of the country. Everywhere, people step in to regenerate what they'd been ignoring.
ROAD-SAFETY EDUCATION
A society paying the price of rapid urbanization: heavy traffic, dramatic road accidents, streets and public spaces that feel unsafe.
A society that refuses to keep paying the price. A critical mass chooses to lead by example and demands real solutions from their authorities.
GENERATIONAL CHANGE
Young people inherit beliefs passed down for generations — wait for change to come from outside, or leave to build a future abroad.
Young people unlearn the beliefs they inherited, learn to see possibilities where they saw none, and discover their power to create a thriving future where they are.
LONG-TERM VISION & ALIGNMENT
Guatemala is trapped in cycles where sectors work in isolation, without a shared vision to face challenges together.

Nueva Narrativa was born from Fundación Crecer Guatemala, a non-profit working since 2007 to make Guatemala's cities more human and sustainable. Fundación Crecer promoted GuateÁmala alongside Bruce Mau and created 4 Grados Norte, a landmark of urban transformation in Guatemala City. After nearly two decades of social innovation, the foundation evolves into Nueva Narrativa — carrying its experience toward higher goals.
